Michaelangelo also has a history of stage performance and interactive theater: from leading interacting, themed tours through the streets of San Francisco to facilitating a Dream-Embodiment Workshop in an old chapel, where on another occasion he was Master of Ceremony at a Birthday party that that doubled as the staging of the birthday girls' funeral; to posing as a failed stage magician who (accidentally? purposefully?) performed actual, impossible feats of magic before an unsuspecting audience's eyes, and so forth. A improvisational master of the moment, equipped with quick wit and gift of gab, he charismatically keeps his audience spellbound and amused, creating quality contents on the fly.

Essentially, Staples needed a video campaign explaining why customers should buy their ink and toner over refurbished ink cartridges, which apparently leak at times. Poptent.net ran the contest on their website and offered a $12,000 prize to the winning submission. Unfortunately, we didn't win but that's ok. We made a commercial. Something will come of that. Morgan Sorne & I appeared in Hillary Andujar & Hemmie Lindholm's Sunset Birdwatching phenomenon at Symbiosis Gathering 2013 as Barry & Terry, improvising (s)ornithological commentary to accompany the parade of folks in the custom-made, psychedelic bird costumes. I got to make up things like "Here we have the peacock, also known as the phallic pheasant. It has a unique hermaphroditic advantage, having evolved from the clitorosaurus..." (Video pending)
Book of Revelations
In 2013 I was a part of Hillary Andujar & Hemmie Lindholm's installation performance of The Book of Revelations for the All World's Fair in the Mint in SF. I was at the center of the room reading from The Book of Revelations as a Chris Walken-esque Saint John, surrounded by an eerie soundtrack and all the characters of the story in custom-made psychedelic costumes.

Faux Real hats for to keep the head warm
The imperfect film festival hosts monthly, themed screenings, prioritizing creation over perfection. I created this short as my submission for its premiere screening, catering to the theme of 'imperfection'. Most of the band members were unavailable this day. When I set out to film at Burning Man, all the locations we had scouted were either over-crowded, or already burnt to the ground by the time we got to them with the camera. My ambitions for a video featuring a kaleidoscopy of humandalas, camels, costumes, bedouin tents, etc were too far-fetched for the moment's time and resources, so instead we shot a video starring Gabe and I dressed as psuedo-Shakespearian maniac dandies dancing on a landfill, uncovered the dark secrets of a rebar empire and adopted a fitting metaphor for the process. enjoy, M. ps: the song has been cut short for the full song and free download of the album MakeBelief visit http://theaterra.bandcamp.com
www.pingcolors.com Ping Colors is a Human Connection Project where a daily question is asked and a corresponding color is given to that answer based on your location. The goal of the project is to create a human network, where "me" becomes "we", and an ecosystem is created to share feelings based on topics including the environment, health, art, education, spirituality and more. Over time, the Human Connection Project will promote a global understanding through a shared passion of curiosity, learning and consciousness to make the world a better place for all. A "Ping" is a thought or a feeling on a map represented by a corresponding color and shape. a color and shape. But a Ping is much more than that - it is a voice, an opinion, a representation of a persona, an agent for change, a cry for help, a sentiment, a prayer, a gesture of humanity. This truly is just the beginning of the project and a world of exciting possibilities lies ahead of us. By representing sentiments on a map, community responses reveal local, national and international community sentiments, which allows us all to observe patterns of thought, opinion and habits in a very novel way. By answering questions you, help contribute to an expanding knowledge and awareness of a global community. To explore these questions, visit Ping Atlas. Ping Colors is in a beta stage and we intend to grow by listening to your feedback. Your answers, comments and suggestions will influence how this project will grow. We are mainly here to initiate and moderate the global community. Comments that you leave on our Twitter, Facebook and our other social networking sites are followed by our dedicated team who will listen to your feedback and use that information to improve and expand Ping Colors. "We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world." - The Buddha.
